CPAP Help

CPAP stands for Continuous Positive Airway Pressure. CPAP is used to treat sleep apnea. It involves wearing a mask that is connected by a tube to a small machine that sits beside the bed. This machine blows in air which props the airway open and keeps it from collapsing at night. CPAP is a great treatment for sleep apnea, but many patients have difficulty getting used to it. At Tranquility Sleep Specialists, we work with patients and their medical equipment company to make CPAP as comfortable as possible. We are able to find a way to make CPAP work for the majority of our patients. If CPAP ultimately does not work out, we help patients understand their options and try to find a treatment that will work for them.
